Custom USB Drives for Businesses, with Your Logo
Custom USB drives are still useful when there's something to deliver with them: conference documentation, welcome materials, or a large file that won't fit in an email. At Pekata, we produce them from 25 units, with the logo applied thoughtfully and a preview before approval. Here are the models, actual capacities, and indicative prices.
A USB Only Makes Sense if It Has Something Inside
The common mistake is ordering empty custom USB drives and handing them out without more. With cloud storage everywhere, a blank USB stick ends up in a drawer. A USB regains its value when preloaded: the technical dossier a salesperson leaves on a visit, the presentations from a seminar, a distributor's product manual, raw video footage from a shoot, or a brand pack for an agency. That's why the first thing we ask is not the capacity, but what's going inside and who will open it.
From there, the decision is simple. If the USB accompanies light documentation (PDFs, presentations), 16 or 32 GB is more than enough, and the model is dictated by the budget. If videos or high-res images are involved, it's wise to go up to 64-128 GB and USB 3.2 Gen 1, which reads at around 100 MB/s compared to the usual 25-30 MB/s of a USB 2.0: copying 8 GB drops from about five minutes to just over one. And if the USB is part of a set, it fits better within a corporate welcome pack or in event, trade show, and conference merchandise rather than as a standalone gift. You can see the rest of the categories in corporate merchandise.
What Can Be Customised
- Body branding: laser engraving on metal and bamboo (in the material's tone, without colour), 1 to 4-colour pad printing on plastic, and full-colour UV printing on card-type models.
- Body and cap colour on ABS models, to match the corporate colour without resorting to a large logo.
- Preloaded content: files, catalogues, videos, or a shortcut to a website, with the option to write-protect the folder so it can't be deleted.
- Capacity per batch: you can order 16 GB for general distribution at the stand and 64 GB for client deliveries, in the same order.
- Packaging: individual bag, kraft box, neoprene sleeve, or metal case, and also inside one of our custom boxes for businesses alongside the notebook and pen from the same order.

How It's Done
- Design and Preview. You tell us the model, capacity, and what content goes inside, and send us the logo in vector format (SVG, PDF, or AI); if you only have a PNG, we'll vectorise it. We return the USB assembled on screen, with the branding at size and in its real position, and nothing is produced until you approve it.
- Production and branding. We laser engrave metal and bamboo, and use pad printing or UV printing on plastic bodies. If there's preloading, we copy the files at the factory and verify a sample of the batch before packaging. Including artwork approval, production, and transport, it usually takes two to three weeks; a standard model with simple engraving can be ready sooner, while high capacities or custom-coloured bodies tend to take longer.
- Delivery. To the office, the event venue, or each person's home, across Europe. If delivering to homes, each person enters their address on the Pekata portal, available in several languages, so HR doesn't need to collect data. You receive a single invoice.
Where It Fits and What It Pairs With
At trade shows and conferences, the USB serves as a medium for presentations and catalogues, avoiding the distribution of kilos of paper: it's handed out at the end of the talk or placed inside the attendee's bag. In the commercial channel, it's used to leave technical documentation during visits to industrial clients, where connectivity isn't always guaranteed and emails with large attachments bounce back. For onboarding, a USB with internal manuals and brand kit complements the welcome pack for technical profiles.
It effortlessly pairs with other corporate materials: a notebook and pen from the same order, a lanyard for the stand, or a matching notepad. For trade shows, the card model (85 × 54 mm) fits in the accreditation holder; for daily use, the swivel metal one withstands keyrings better as it has no cap to lose. If you want it to arrive as a gift rather than a brochure, we package it inside the Pekata box, with a band, label, and card featuring your brand, and add gourmet products if the recipient is a client. You can find more formats in promotional gifts for companies.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a personalised USB with my company's logo cost?
A classic plastic USB of 16 or 32 GB with branding costs around €3-6 per unit, and a swivel metal one with laser engraving between €5 and €9. If you need 64-128 GB with USB 3.2 Gen 1, the range increases to €9-16. These are indicative prices per unit, excluding VAT, with the logo already applied; they improve with volume.
What is the minimum order for personalised USBs?
The minimum order is 25 units: we produce from 25 units, so you can order 20 USBs for a course or 800 for a conference. What changes with quantity is the price per unit, which decreases significantly from around 250-500 units because the cost of preparing the branding is spread over more pieces.
How long does a personalised USB order take?
It usually takes two to three weeks from when you approve the preview, including production, branding, and transport. A standard model with laser engraving in one colour is at the lower end of that range; custom-coloured bodies, 128 GB capacities, or preloading many files add days. If you have an event date, let us know when requesting a quote, and we'll work backwards from there.
What branding technique is used on a USB stick?
It depends on the material. Metal and bamboo use laser engraving, which leaves the logo in the material's own tone and doesn't wear off with use. Plastic uses 1 to 4 colour pad printing or UV printing, which allows for corporate colours. Card-type models are UV printed in full colour on both sides. The logo is required in vector format, and if you only have a PNG, we can vectorise it for you.
Can the USBs be delivered with files already loaded?
Yes. We copy the documents, videos, or presentations you provide at the factory and verify a sample of the batch before packaging. You can also have the folder write-protected so the content isn't accidentally deleted, and add a shortcut to your website. Bear in mind the actual usable capacity: a 16 GB USB shows about 14.4 GB once formatted.
